Antonio Carlos Rodrigues do Amaral

Prof. Dr. Antonio Carlos Rodrigues do Amaral is a highly regarded legal expert and scholar, having authored and co-authored several books and doctrinal articles and regularly speaking at congresses and seminars in Brazil and abroad. He has extensive experience in corporate, commercial, negotiations and tax matters, notably cross-border transactions, litigation and arbitration involving complex cases.

Admitted to practice law in Brazil (OAB/SP), Legal Consultant licensed by the Supreme Court of New York, Appellate Division (Manhattan, 1st. Judicial Dept.), Foreign Legal Consultant certified by the Florida Bar Association, Expert (Brazilian Law and Practices) nominated by the High Court of Justice, Queen's Bench Division, Commercial Court (London). 

Co-founder of Magnopus, a technology company based in Los Angeles and London that creates award-winning work in VR/AR/Spatial Computing (www.magnopus.com).

Professor of Law at Mackenzie University Law School (on leave) and Senior Researcher at the Mackenzie Center for Advanced Studies in Public Policy and Integrity (CEMAPI-MackIntegridade). Academic of the International Academy of Law and Economics (AIDE), Brazilian Academy of Tax Law (ABDT), São Paulo State Academy of Law (APD), and São Paulo State Academy of Legal Letters (APLJ).

Counselor of the Federation of Commerce of the State of São Paulo (Superior Council of Law, Fecomercio SP). Former Brazilian resident partner of the international law firm Richards Butler (London) and former Director of Ernst & Young's International Tax Department (New York). He also held several leadership positions at the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) and the Harvard Law School Association (Cambridge/MA and Brazil).

Prof. Dr. Rodrigues do Amaral received his Doctoral (Ph.D.) and his Master (Ed.M.) degrees in Education, with honors, from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Harvard Law School, his post-graduate Certificate in International and Comparative Taxation from the Harvard University International Tax Program (ITP), with a Certificate of Merit for academic excellence in research and writing (both courses will a full scholarship from the Organization of American States), and his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Universidade Mackenzie. He has also conducted post-doctoral research in public policy and integrity as a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School.

Arthur Rodrigues do Amaral is an international corporate lawyer and trusted advisor to founders, entrepreneurs, investors, companies and venture-backed startups doing business in Brazil or internationally. He has extensive experience dealing with strategic legal matters, including corporate/M&A, commercial, finance, and capital markets transactions.

Arthur worked for several years at leading international law firms Hogan Lovells (New York and São Paulo) and Clifford Chance (São Paulo). He was also the legal director for Brazil of Valoreo, an international technology-driven consumer holding startup, and the head of legal for Brazil of TUL, an international marketplace startup.

Arthur is admitted to practice law in Brazil (OAB/SP) and New York (NY State Bar). He received his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree, with honors (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar), from Columbia Law School and his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Universidade Mackenzie. He also has an MBA certificate in Economics, Investments and Financial Sector from Fipe/FEA-USP and attended academic summer programs at Harvard University, Columbia University, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), and London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is a Member of the Digital Economy and Innovation Council of FecomércioSP.

Cristiane Serro Azul is a senior lawyer with extensive experience in litigation. She is also proficient in assisting Brazilian and international clients in connection with corporate and commercial matters.

In addition to her legal practice, Cristiane is a co-author of books in the field of corporate law. She also attends courses, seminars, conferences and study groups focused on business law. 

Cristiane is admitted to practice law in Brazil (OAB/SP). She earned a postgraduate certificate in Civil Procedure from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) and received her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Universidade Mackenzie.
